Brussels

Brussels feels like the heart of Belgium — a mix of grand architecture, green parks, easygoing neighborhoods, and a cosmopolitan buzz you feel as soon as you step off the train. It’s lively but not overwhelming, historic without feeling stuck in time, and full of small discoveries tucked between major landmarks.

To Do

  • Thermae Grimbergen at Belvedere Castle — A unique spa experience in Belgium. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect escape from the city. So many different swimming areas and saunas… nestled in an old castle!

  • Palais de Justice — Massive, dramatic, and overlooking one of the best viewpoints in Brussels.

  • Manneken Pis — Touristy but iconic, and worth the quick detour.

  • Mont des Arts Garden — The view here never gets old; sit on the steps and watch the city move around you.

  • Magritte Museum — A must if you love surrealism or simply want to understand Belgium’s artistic soul.

  • Grand Place — One of the most beautiful squares in Europe. Go during golden hour if you can.

  • A picnic at Parc de Bruxelles — Grab snacks and sit by the fountain. Simple but perfect.

  • Grote Markt area — Wander through the little streets packed with bars, restaurants, and shops. Brussels is truly best explored by walking with no plan.

To Eat & Drink

  • Barkboy Coffee — My go-to spot. Cozy, modern, and the best pick-me-up in the city.

  • Anywhere that serves Belgian fries, mussels, or traditional waffles — you truly can’t go wrong in Brussels.
